Tying on. If you remember, I left some extra warp from my last project.

There is debate on whether tying each new warp strand onto the each strand of the old warp is worth it or truly saves time. I think it does save some time but there is some frustration with pulling each knot through the reed slots and heddles.

However, i do decide to do this often as it does cut down on yarn waste and preserves a perfect threading. In this particular case, the threading was a tad complicated and tying on prevented mistakes.

It looks like a tangled mess but I still use my lease sticks to provide order and as the warp is wound in, everything falls into place.

Broken thread. Sigh. It happens. I completely disregard the broken warp hanging off the back. I then cut a new warp thread in the same color. I fasten it to the cloth using a t pin and a figure 8 pattern. I then thread through the reed and the heddle. I hang off the back using a weight. A nut and bolt is my favorite method. Weave like normal.
