Congratulations to Olivia, our June Volunteer of the Month!

While visiting the downtown library, Olivia noticed info about NAU's Axe of Service platform, which she was already familiar with as a current master's student. With some openings in her schedule, she decided she wanted to use that time for something meaningful. As she browsed volunteer opportunities, she was excited to recognize Sharon's Attic. Already familiar with our thrift store, she was drawn to the opportunity to support a mission that empowers survivors of domestic violence. It felt like the perfect fit.

Olivia especially enjoys sorting and pricing donations and seeing the direct results of her volunteer efforts. She finds fulfillment in knowing that her time and energy are helping support a mission that makes a difference in our community.

When asked what she would say to someone considering volunteering at Sharon's Attic, Olivia didn't hesitate: "Just do it! Being a part of a community is a lost art." She encourages others to remember that there's always something they can do to give back.
