It’s a beautiful day in Flat Rock - the kind of day made for a slow lunch, good company, and mountain BBQ. Hubba Hubba Smokehouse is open Sunday and Monday from 11 to 3, serving up wood-fired barbecue, scratch-made sides, cold drinks, and all the flavors that make a meal worth lingering over.

Make a day of it. Stroll through Little Rainbow Row, find a table, and settle in for a relaxed afternoon in the mountains. We’d love to see you.

What a great find this antique apothecary cabinet is… and an even greater challenge was getting it back to Flat Rock! Apothecary cabinets, or chests, were used mostly in the 18th century by doctors or apothecaries to store all kinds of medicines, herbs, roots and other ingredients used to prescribe and make healing potions. This one is from Europe and measures a little over 10 feet long.

Hello Hubba friends! In just 7 days, these trays will be back in your hands. Wood-fired chicken. Pulled pork piled high. All the fixin’s. With sweet tea to wash it down.

So much Spring cuteness ARRIVING DAILY at The Wrinkled Egg! We’ve started laughing when we see UPS and FedEx walk thru the door because we aren’t really sure where it’s all going to go! We have long since run out of hangers! Tops, pants and dresses by Ivy Jane, Entro, Habitat, Liverpool and more! Come see us!

Last week I was in Round Top, Texas looking for some fun treasures to bring back to The Egg and did I find some great things….. paintings, a few pieces of furniture, vintage fox hunting glassware and then the greatest of all….. a coin operated replica of Gene Autrey’s famous horse, Champion! Weighing in at several hundred pounds, it took 4 friends to get Champion off a truck, across the road and up the steps into The Wrinkled Egg where he now awaits any and all small riders!
