Tourmaline is one of the two birthstones for October, Rubellite is known for good durability and very valuable due to its color.

Rubellite is mainly found in Brazil, Nigeria, Afghanistan, and Madagascar, but they can be found in other places around the world.

It is considered one of the rarer varieties of tourmaline.
