Often, when a plant starts to wilt, the first instinct is to reach for the watering can… but that’s not always the right answer.

This black bat flower (Tacca chantrieri) is actually wilting because it was overwatered, not underwatered. In this video, we’re walking you through how we’re trying to save it by removing the root rot, trimming away damaged roots, applying root stimulator, and giving it a fresh start in new soil.

Sometimes the best way to help a struggling plant is to water it less, not more.

Meet the Jolly Jester Marigold 🧡

Our store’s Pink Princess Philodendron has officially grown out of control. 🌿💗

So come behind the scenes as we chop, propagate, and give this beauty a much-needed bigger pot.

If you have a climbing houseplant that’s getting a little too tall for its moss pole, don’t be afraid to give it a refresh. Plants like philodendrons, monsteras, pothos, and many others can be propagated from stem cuttings with healthy aerial nodes.

For this project, all you really need is:
✂️ Clean scissors or pruning shears
🪢 Twine to secure it back to the support
🌱 Fertilome Rooting Powder to encourage strong root growth

It’s one of the easiest ways to turn one overgrown plant into several new ones while helping the original plant grow back fuller and healthier.
