Some people leave behind more than songs. They leave behind joy, kindness, laughter and a reminder that we can always do a little more for one another.
Like so many of you, we have always been huge Dolly fans. Her music has been part of our lives for as long as we can remember, but it was her heart, generosity and genuine love for others that made her so special.
On Friday, September 25, from 7-10 pm, we’re bringing together some incredible friends and neighbors for 9 to 5: A Toast to Dolly, a special night at Barleycorn’s Brewhouse celebrating her music, her spirit and the difference she made in so many lives.
Holly Spears and Sami Riggs will perform live, including some of Dolly’s most-loved hits. Flair Flower Bar will create a beautiful pop-up flower bar. Blue Marble Books will bring a pop-up bookshop inspired by Dolly’s lifelong love of reading. The Lovely Closet Boutique will have Dolly-inspired shirts, hats and goodies available to shop.
We’ll also have specialty cocktails, a photo booth and plenty of sparkle!
Most importantly, a portion of proceeds from the evening and participating vendor sales will benefit the Imagination Library, helping Dolly’s love of reading continue to reach children for generations to come.
We are truly honored to bring these talented local businesses and musicians together for a woman who gave the world so much.
