TONIGHT is the Boards of Canada listening party for their new album “Inferno”.
Here are the ground rules for how we’re doing things. Please read if you plan to attend.
We have the black 2LP, we have the red deluxe 2LP with the booklet, and we have the CD.
We have eleven goodie bags and eleven keychains.
The stream of the album will start PROMPTLY AT 7:00 P.M.
When you arrive at the shop, you will be handed a number. A second card with that number will be dropped into a raffle box.
When the album is finished, we will begin pulling numbers out of the raffle box one by one. When your number is called, you can come to the front counter and purchase the format and variant that you want. THE FIRST ELEVEN NUMBERS CALLED WILL RECEIVE THE GOODIE BAG AND KEYCHAIN WITH THEIR PURCHASE. After those are all gone, we will continue to call out the remaining numbers for customers to choose the format they want.
This is, in our estimation, the best and fairest way to handle the giveaways, to make sure that everyone has an equal chance of scoring the extras.
We will also have a separate raffle for a sweet, two-sided Boards of Canada t-shirt (Size Large), hand-screened by one of our employees specially for this event.
