Hi All. Another great outing on the weekend for our in house fishing comp, blessed with some great weather and a few fish on the chew. We had around a dozen competitors who managed to wet a line with around 100 fish being caught over the weekend.

Bugsy Ashee was back in true form taking out the largest cod and largest Redfin, with all his fishing coming out of the river. Great to see good numbers of Juvenile Cod, ranging in size from 40-60cm, being caught. These fish are showing up throughout the River system with fish caught over the weekend coming from under the dam wall and stretching as far as Narromine.

Norm Wilson was the Fella with the Big Yella, coming in at 58cm and caught at Burrendong Dam. There were good numbers of Yellowbelly on hand at the dam with around 40 juvenile fish ranging in size from 25-35cm being caught. Norm also landed a solid bag of around 10 yella’s going over the 50cm mark. Hopefully the Dam continues fishing this well over the Easter break and should make for a great return of the Burrendong Easter Fishing Classic.

Jayden Gowens an up and coming junior angler was the king of the Carp enjoying the day on the banks of the Bell River.

That’s a wrap up of the weekend. Keep your eyes out for some promo’s leading up to the Burrendong Classic with the first announcement hitting the social airways later today.

Have fun, stay safe and see you on the water
