Hope everyone’s having a great long weekend! ☀️ It was HOT out by the dumpsters today, but we still managed to find some pretty good stuff.

The cat scratcher is actually in great shape! It might be missing a piece or two (or maybe it’s just ridiculously tall 😂), but we’ll figure out a way to make it sturdy.

We also found some cute Halloween goodies and holiday decor 🎃 Glad most of it survived the dumpster!

We took the train to Chicago and it was such a dream! I took soo many pictures on the actual train ride that I am excited to share, but first some from our stay in the city. 💘

We switched things up this morning and checked a few apartment dumpsters we don’t normally visit. Ended up finding some disc golf discs, so of course we had to take them to the park and try them out 😂🥏

Not a bad way to start the day!

Denton's had 37 days over 100 degrees this year, and the numbers aren't showing any signs of slowing down.

Eventually, something was going to catch fire. And of course it was a dumpster fire, symbolic on how it feels to be trapped with a summer so hot your shoes stick to the ground.

This fire was quickly contained by Denton Fire Department 1 before it could spread, which is a miracle in this dry weather.

23 more days left this summer.

Went dumpster diving at a college apartment complex and honestly didn’t expect to find this much stuff 😳 Some of it was way too good to be thrown away!
