Wall quilts! I love the texture and warmth they add to a room. I like the long history of bringing cozy feelings and untility, but also beauty into a home. This one has my Wheel of Seasons block print, echoing, nature, the flow of time, softness, and the human trait of noticing. You've got to keep following your stars. Our stars in Appalachia are pieced together with our strange history and love of what we have. It makes us fierce, and it makes us whole, for many of us it makes us gentle. Knowing how delicate it all is.
This mountainous region is our home in all its werid and wonderful ways and we hope to keep it for as long as is possible.

This piece is called "Following" because I never want to stop following the stars that made me and keep me coming home to myself and the places I call home.
