Free wine, soju, and mead tasting starts at 5:00 PM.
And if that wasn’t enough…

We’re also hosting an author and craft fair! There are still a few openings for sidewalk tables. Send us a message for details.

It’s quite the delightful mix: sip some wine in a book bar while supporting local authors.

For those of you who celebrate Christmas with particular zeal — we’ve got you covered! This Third Thursday’s theme is Christmas in July.

The new restaurant Half Shell Oyster House is now open (right across the street from Stacey’s Old Tyme Soda Fountain), and this downtown event is the perfect time to check it out. Oh dang, I’m hungry just thinking about it!😄

**Update for our customers**
And just like that, another one’s gone.
For over three years, Bentley helped run the counter, processed literally tons of books, and completed countless other tasks. While we tend to get overly sentimental about stuff like this, if anyone deserves a new and better opportunity, it’s Bentley. The other company made a wise hiring choice.

Really, too much to list here, but we’re going to miss Bentley’s artistic ability to make stuff like awesome sale signs.👩‍🎨

We still don't have a real timeline on when we might reopen (so we can't make any promises). The structural repairs appear to be done, so I think we're on the home stretch.
We're truly humbled by the grace and generosity of those who've helped us through this unexpected challenge.

Well, we miss our customers! It's about time we open for a special event and yes this time we've got a good one for you. 🌹

This Third Thursday, June 18th, 4:30 to 7p.m., we will have a free mead and wine tasting! Calling all local authors and crafters: this will also be a mini local author fair. We plan to set up some tables outside (weather permitting) for authors and craft makers. Drop us a message for details and sign up; spots are limited.

While the Book Exchange is still out of commission, they've made a lot of progress on the repairs. 🤞

If you have not yet visited Downtown Foley for Third Thursday (when many businesses participate from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.), now is the time! Come try some great wines, say hello and meet local writers. Told ya it was going to be a good one. We miss you! 💖

Yet again, we must part ways with a wonderful team member! 😢

Everyone, say goodbye to Bianca. We will miss her dearly. Having been with us for five years, her dedication to our stores will never be forgotten.

She's found a great new opportunity, and we hope you'll join us in wishing her the best on her new journey!🌟

That being said, we ARE making progress with construction! There is no set timeline yet for when we'll be reopening; however, we hope to finish up toward the end of this month. Stick with us—we really miss y'all!

Don't forget, Action Game and Movie is open and here for your entertainment (apart from books, that is 😭). I know you're all excited to flip the pages, but this is the perfect opportunity to try out a new game or embrace a nostalgic movie! Come and see us💓

A huge thank you to everyone: our team members, the City of Foley, contractors, and construction workers. The world can be difficult to navigate, but with teamwork and perseverance, we can make it! 🦋

When it rains, it pours. ☔ Still no solid timeline for reopening; might have an update next week.
Say goodbye to Katie. 👋😢 Yesterday was her last day with us. This kind of change is very emotional, especially since she has been on the team for so long. Over the years, she has helped with countless tasks and supervised not only the Book Exchange but also Action Game and Movie. She found an awesome new opportunity - very proud of this young lady. We're all going to miss her around here.

Good news on Good Friday! 🙏The contractors are bringing in equipment. 🗜 While we still don’t have a firm timeline, it’s looking more like a matter of weeks rather than months before we can safely reopen. 🏪
