A little reminder from Pink Menagerie and your favorite vintage dealers…
I know my customers would never…but…before you complain about a price tag, remember that little treasure didn’t magically appear on a shelf.
Someone got up at 2 a.m., drove hundreds of miles, dug through dusty barns, climbed into attics, crawled through estate sales, loaded a truck, unloaded a truck, cleaned years of grime, repaired what could be repaired, researched it, photographed it, stored it, priced it, and then answered 37 messages, maybe even packed it, taped it and shipped it. 📦
We don’t just sell old things. We rescue them, preserve them, and bring them back into homes where they’ll be loved again.
So to all the vintage, antique, and junking shop owners out there: charge it’s worth. Your customers aren’t just buying an item—they’re buying your eye, your experience, your time, your gas, your sore back, your lack of space and your passion.
And if they think it’s easy? The next estate sale starts at 6 a.m., it’s two hours away….it can get ugly in there, bring a clean pair of shorts. You’re welcome to join us. Yes, the stained ironstone pitcher is that much and you’re so welcome. I hope you love it 🫶😉
