Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your Folly Beach, Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday August 7th at 7:30 a.m.

The surf at the Pier is ankle to knee high. Pretty weak with onshore winds. Good day to teach the kids or learn.

Winds are moderate out of the SE 5-10kt.

We have a low tide at 9:08 a.m. . High tide will follow at 3:35 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is 2.3 feet at 6 seconds from the ESE.

Surf is down for the day high pressure still sitting offshore providing light/moderate onshore flow. Unsettled weather from the SE Atlantic makes its way to our marine area Sat and enhanced onshore flow should be expected. In which case surf should begin to build slightly overnight tonight into tomorrow. Expect thigh-waist high surf with SE winds. Surf then backs off a bit on Sunday. Should have a little bump to surf over the weekend.

It’s a humid 80* with clouds and rain. Look for a humid day and a high of 84*. Mostly overcast today folks.

Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your Folly Beach, Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, August 5th at 7:30 a.m.

The surf at the Pier is knee to thigh high winds on it a bit from the SE. Overall theirs a little wave out there to get wet. Bring the higher vol gear.

Winds are moderate out of the SE 5-10kt.

We have a low tide at report time. High tide will follow at 1:25 p.m. with another low to close the day at 8:00 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is 2.3 feet at 7 seconds from the ESE.

High pressure is still offshore creating small trade and localized wind-swell. Knee to thigh high surf should prevail into the weekend. Saturday increased onshore flow and unsettled weather moves onshore our marine area from the Atlantic and their should be a little uptick in surf Waist to Belly high with onshore winds expected for Sat.

It’s a humid 80* with clouds and rain. Look for a humid day and a high of 84*. Mostly overcast today folks.

Good morning! This is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, Aug 4th at 8:15 a.m.

There’s a little wave this morning. It’s about thigh to waist high, with maybe a slightly bigger set. It’s not choppy, but it’s not clean either with the passing storms. Should get a bit of a push with the incoming tide before the winds switch.

Winds are currently out of the west/northwest at 5mph. Winds turn south about midday increase to around 15 mph as the evening approaches.

We had a low tide at 6:09 a.m. High tide will be 12:30 p.m. Next low tide is 6:40 pm.

The Edisto Buoy is showing 4 ft @ 6 seconds out of the south/southeast.

There’s a little reason to get in the water today. This morning is fairly clean with the offshore winds, but still a little bump in it. Winds go south midday and pick up as the day progresses. For the rest of the week southerly winds continue. We expect winds to favor southeast as we close in on the weekend giving us a nice onshore flow. Expect something to surf for the next several days.

Our friends at NOAA say: “Unsettled weather will likely continue through the weekend.”

Water temperature is 87*.

It is 77* this morning with a chance of rain. Look for a high of 87* and passing clouds later today.

Sunrise was 6:36 a.m., Sunset 8:15 p.m.

Good morning, this is Eazy-E with your Folly Beach, Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, August 3rd at 8:30 a.m.
The surf at the washout is knee-waist super weak with SW winds. Overall looking super fun for fishes or even the thruster if ya got one! Send it guys!
Winds are moderate out of the SW 5-10kt.
We have a high tide at 11:38 a.m. Low tide is at 5:47 pm.
Edisto Buoy is 5.9 feet at 6 seconds from the S.
Our pals at NOAA predict, “Unsettled weather will likely continue into the end of the week”. Thus, some proper thunderstorms and wind look to be in our future.

Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your Folly Beach, Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, August 1st at 8:30 a.m.

The surf contest registration is openening today at Noon.

The surf at the Pier is knee high really weak with onshore winds. Overall not looking to inviting although it is rideable for the higher vol boards.

Winds are moderate out of the South 10-15mph

We have a high tide at 10:18 a.m. Low tide is at 4:27 pm.

Edisto Buoy is 2.0 feet at 6 seconds from the SE.

Weak short period dribble making its way to our shores. The weekend approaches surf stays down Saturday. Sunday stronger high pressure sits off the SE coastline with approaching unsettled weather and a low arrives to our north-west Sunday into Monday. Onshore flow should begin and surf should then build in southerly wind-swell. Monday could be a time to target winds will be a slight factor but its looking like the surf should build to finally get us over waist high surf.

It’s a humid 80* with clouds and sun mixed. Look for a humid day and a high of 87*. Mostly overcast today folks.

Winds are light out of the ESE today. 5-10mph,

We have a high tide at 9:41 a.m. Low tide is at 3:45 pm.

Edisto Buoy is 1.6 feet at 7 seconds from the SE.

Sunday stronger high pressure sits off the SE coastline with approaching unsettled weather and a low arrives to our north-west Sunday into Monday. Onshore flow should begin and surf should then build in southerly wind-swell.
