Ocean Surf shop is more than just a store that sells a lot of surf gear. It’s owned and operated by surfers, for surfers. We hate to date ourselves, but combined we have well over a century of surfing experience among our owners and staff. Of course, this means we gladly offer friendly, unassuming advice regarding any and all aspects of board-riding. Regardless if you are an expert or beginner, we truly pride ourselves on enhancing your wave-riding and beach-going experience. The team at Ocean Surf shop makes it our goal to offer their very best, because we know we know how much we love surfing, and we think that you should, too. Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Thursday, October 15 at 8:30 a.m.
The weather is perfect out here at the beach, but the surf is small and weak on this morning’s incoming tide.
Surf is looking knee high, and it would push a log, but just barely. Just no swell in the water.
Winds are south-west around 5 to 10 knots, and surf is semi-choppy.
Look for south-west winds and a warm, sunny wonderful day at the beach today with pigeon blue skies.
We have a high tide at 11:38 a.m., and a low tide at 5:55 p.m.
Edisto Bouy is 1.6 feet at 8 seconds from the east/south-east. So no swell at the buoy, and surf stays minimal through tomorrow.
Our pals over at NOAA predict, “High pressure will extend across the region this week. A strong cold front will push offshore Friday night into Saturday morning. Significant wind and sea conditions expected across the nearshore and outer Georgia and South Carolina waters this weekend into early next week.”
Surf should be picking up Saturday as north/north-east winds begin to blow behind a cold front. If you don’t have your spring suit or a jacket ready, this is the time to pull it out, as it will cool down over the weekend, and the water will follow. High angled north-east wind swell increases Sunday into Monday, when winds begin to finally back down some. Florida will see more swell from this as usual. North-east swell tends to roll right past us, but there will be some fun waves to ride, it’ll just be really drifty. Bring one car, park it on the east side of the island, and park your friends car at the pier.

Good morning, this is Eazy-E with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecasts for Wednesday, October 14th at 8:00 a.m.
After some fun waves for the past 2-3 days the waves at folly are pretty much gone for the most part. Super weak and clean conditions in the shin high range around the pier this morning. Not a great day for big turns but a great beach day with or without the surf vessel.
Winds are west at around 5knots, and surf zone is very clean. Unfortunately, there lacks any power or size. Snag the log if you must go get some action for sure!
We have a high tide at 11:00 a.m., and a low tide at 5:05 p.m.
Looking super clean but super weak. Overall, it looks like a beautiful day so get outside and send it!
Edisto Bouy is 2 feet at 8 seconds from the East/south-east.
Our pals over at NOAA predict, “High pressure will extend across the region this week”.
It’s 67 with bright sunshine today. Look for a high around 81* and sun. Perfect fall beach weather.

Good morning, This is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecasts for Monday, October 12 at 8:30 a.m.
After a really good evening session yesterday, the surf has dropped way off. It/s knee to thigh high and weak this morning. It’s the old “you should have been here yesterday,” that all surfers love to hear and love to repeat.
Winds are west/north-west at around 10 to 12 knots, and surf zone is very clean. Unfortunately the offshore winds blew down the surf overnight.
We have a high tide at 9:36 p.m., and a low tide at 3:47 p.m. The next high tide at 9:42 p.sm.
Edisto Bouy is 3.6 feet at 4 seconds from the west/south-west, and swell is blowing away from our beaches.
Surf is looking flat as a pancake this week, but beach weather should be perfect with light winds and lots of sun. Probably a good time to grab the fishing pole and gas up the boat. We’ll see another cold front passage sometime this weekend; likely Saturday. This creates more north-east wind swell as cooler weather moves in behind the front.

Waves at the Washout are stomach to chest with an occasional bigger set. Super choppy and drifty conditions coming from the SW winds gusting at 25kt! There is a fun powerful wave for sure but its gnarly so be ready for some work to get that gem! Yewwww! Send it!
We have a high tide at report time. Have a low tide at 3:02 p.m. high tide at 9:12 p.m.
Edisto Bouy is 6.9 feet at 6 seconds from the South.
Our pals over at NOAA predict, “A front will sweep across the local waters this afternoon, followed by high pressure thereafter”. Thus, there could be tons of heavy rainstorms throughout the day.
It’s 78 and raining on and off this morning with downpours. Look for a high of 79*
Sunrise is 7:21 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:53 p.m.

We had such a blast last weekend The Log Pile 3rd Edition
Huge shoutout to team rider Ronan Lurkin for holding the first contest at the pier in over 15 years. Waves shaped up nicely for finals day and we got to watch some amazing surfing. Lukas Petrillo taking home 1st in Men’s Open Log and Anna Bloess taking home 2nd in Women’s Open Log. Congrats to Hunter, Summer, Chad, Caleb, Noah, & Charlie as well. We can’t wait for next year!!

Good morning! This is Luke Da KOOK with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecasts for Saturday, October 10th at 8:00 am.

I’m signing off for a bit for some travel. But will be checking in with some surf reports from abroad.

Surf at the pier has jumped up overnight as expected. Waist to chest+ surf out there winds are on it but overall looks like it could be fun later today as the wind backs off.

Winds are ESE 10-20mph

We have a high tide at report time. Have a low tide at 12:56 p.m. high tide at 7:02 p.m.

Edisto Bouy 8.5 feet at 7 seconds from the E. With 2.0 ft from the south at 12 sec
As mentioned surfs woken back up thanks to some onshore flow from both our high pressure to our north and remnants of Iaisais that made land-fall last night. Winds are onshore pretty brisk watch the flags later as winds may back off a bit. Surf will fade out later today and the remainder of the weekend. High pressure settles itself right over our marine area for the long range outlook keeping the surf down.

Its 65 and overcast this morning with downpours. Look for a high of 79*
