I caught myself rushing the other day. Not because anything was wrong. Just because I had quietly slipped back into hurry.

And I felt the Lord gently remind me: My pace is different from yours.

I’m learning that walking with Jesus doesn’t always mean doing more.
Sometimes it means slowing down enough to notice He is already beside me.

Jesus never asked us to become louder than the world. He asked us to become more like Him. More patient. More forgiving. More gracious. More faithful. Maybe being the light begins in smaller places than we expect.

A conversation. A response. A choice to love well.

There comes a moment when we realize the fruit God grows in us was never meant to stay with us. Maybe this season grew patience/grace, Compassion, Wisdom, Courage, A deeper tenderness for someone else’s circumstance.

And now, standing at the edge of what has been and what is coming next, perhaps the question is no longer: What have I gained?

Maybe it is: Who needs what God has grown in me? Who needs encouragement?
Who needs healing? Who needs to be reminded that they are seen? Who simply needs to be fed?

The harvest is not only something we receive. Sometimes it is something we carry into the next season with open hands.

Sometimes growth is hard to see while it’s happening.

We plant. We water. We wait.

And for a long time, it can feel like nothing is changing. But then comes a season when we begin to notice the fruit (Spring to summer).

A little more patience. A little more courage. A prayer we once struggled to pray that now comes naturally. A boundary we finally learned to keep.

A tenderness God grew in a place that used to hurt.

Harvest doesn’t always look like accomplishment. Sometimes it looks like becoming.

So before rushing toward whatever comes next, take a moment to notice what God has already grown in you.
