Most multi-material printing still comes down to one nozzle doing several jobs. The Bambu Lab X2D Combo takes a different route with a true dual-nozzle architecture, which means two independent hotends rather than one shared across materials. Each holds its own temperature, so you can pair a model material with soluble supports, or run a rigid body and a flexible gasket in the same job, without a tool change between them. Build volume is 256 x 256 x 260 mm on the main nozzle and 235.5 x 256 x 256 mm when both are in play.
The rest of the machine is built for materials that usually push people toward an enclosure upgrade. Nozzles reach 300°C and the chamber actively heats to 65°C, which is the combination that makes ABS, ASA and polycarbonate practical instead of a fight with warping. Hardened steel nozzles and extruder gears handle filled and abrasive filaments, and you can swap between 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 mm. The toolhead moves at up to 1000 mm/s with 20,000 mm/s² acceleration, flow runs 40 mm³/s standard or 65 mm³/s with the optional high flow hotend, and the bed hits 120°C across four plate types. The Combo ships with an AMS 2 Pro.
The Basic bundle includes MatterHackers Launchpad, so an expert gets the machine set up, calibrated and printing with you rather than leaving it in the box. Our service team can also help you sort out which configuration fits the materials you actually run.
