Happy Birthday, America! 🎂 🎉🇺🇸
Don't forget that you have 2 opportunities for fireworks next weekend! The Forest City Owls will have fireworks after their game on Friday, July 3. The America 250 Rutherford County Celebration will be on Saturday, July 4.

If you’ve driven down Main Street today, you’ve probably noticed the string lights hanging overhead. In honor of America’s 250th Celebration, red, white, and blue lights will shine on Main Street through the coming weeks!

The lights will turn on Thursday, July 2, and will shine each Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening until the Hot Nights Cool Rides Car Show in August.

A big thank you to our crew for working hard to get the lights installed this morning! Please use caution through Main Street tomorrow morning as they replace the green bulbs with blue ones.

Boil water advisory has been lifted!

The Town of Forest City lifts the boil water advisory after required sampling and testing verified the water to be safe.

NC DEQ Asheville Regional Office was contacted about the boil water advisory. Town staff collected samples from the distribution system for the required testing.
