AKWESASNE INDIGENOUS FASHION SHOW — YOUTH FASHION SHOW: SEASON 2
The MCA Department of Community & Social Services is proud to sponsor the Akwesasne Indigenous Fashion Show's Youth Fashion Show: The Future of Fashion — Season 2!

Join us on Saturday, September 19, at the Snye Recreation Center for an afternoon celebrating young Indigenous fashion talent, creativity, and culture.

🕑 Showtime: 2:00 p.m.
🚪 Doors Open: 1:30 p.m.
📍 Location: Snye Recreation

This Native American Heritage Month, we are honoring Indigenous knowledge, art, creativity, and the generations of wisdom that continue to guide pathways toward health and healing.

On November 12, the Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health will bring Indigenous artists together in Washington, D.C to share their voices through music, theater, dance, and storytelling.

Through their art, these young leaders share their stories of truth, grief, resilience, hope, and healing. They remind us that Indigenous art is not simply a form of creative expression- it can be a way of connecting generations, strengthening community, sharing knowledge, and imagining healthy futures.

The last rays of golden light stretched across the TallBull Memorial Grounds sacred land Saturday as dozens of hand-beaded moccasins kicked up dust to the beat of Native American drums. It was dusk at the 4th annual Welcome Home Powwow hosted by the TallBull family in Daniels Park in Sedalia.
