Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!

From September 15–October 15, we’re celebrating the stories, voices, cultures, and communities of Hispanic and Latine authors—and filling your TBR accordingly.

Swipe through for a few romances, fantasies, q***r love stories, historicals, vampires, fútbol players, and messy exes we think deserve a spot on your shelf.

And because celebrating community goes beyond what we read, we’re also highlighting a few local organizations doing meaningful work right here in Northern Colorado: The Family Center/La Familia La Cocina and Larimer Youth ❤️

Hispanic Heritage Month may give us an extra reason to celebrate, but these are authors, stories, and organizations worth supporting all year long.

Tell us what we missed 👇 What book by a Hispanic or Latine author belongs on everyone’s TBR?

September is Su***de Prevention Month, and if we can share one message with our community, it is this: you belong here.

Today, World Su***de Prevention Day, we are honored to collaborate with the Alliance for Su***de Prevention of Larimer County to bring as much attention to su***de prevention as possible. Prevention often starts with awareness, and successful prevention comes from building support systems and communities that foster safety, connection, and hope.

To learn more about su***de prevention resources in Northern Colorado, check out https://allianceforsu***deprevention.org/

We will be hosting a free one hour QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Training on September 27, in partnership with the Alliance for Su***de Prevention. All are welcome to join. Registration details coming soon.

Our first summer has come to an end, and tbh our team is a little emo about it! Here’s a little glimpse of all the good times we had together ❤️

We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our partners for making work fun & helping us learn, and to everyone that supported us in any capacity. We are grateful for each laugh shared, the lessons we’re taking with us, and the love you poured into this space. This little shop of delight and whimsy and pleasure and magic only exists because you keep showing up❤️‍🔥

There are many more adventures to come this Fall, and we are looking forward to a joyful holiday season. Here’s to celebrating love stories of all kinds all year long!🥂

What is your favorite Cherry on Top memory from this summer?! 🥰🪩🍒✨💖

Long Live Dolly, The Book Lady💖

Saturday, September 26, from 7:00-9:00pm, we’re dressing up and dancing around the shop to celebrate the life and legacy of Dolly Parton; may she rest in rhinestones.

Dolly wanted to be remembered for her looks and her books, so we’re sending her off in style! Think pink, sequins, big hair, big talent, big everything, and, of course, some of her favorite titles.

🎤 Belt your favorite Dolly classic—or any song that makes you feel like the Queen of Country herself
✨ Enter our Dolly costume contest for a chance to win prizes (the more extra, the better!)
📚 Carry on her kindness & help raise funds to support young readers

Tickets are $15, and 100% of ticket proceeds benefit Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Space is limited, so please register using the link in our bio!

As Dolly once said, “Laughter through tears is my favorite emotion.” (Steel Magnolias). In honor of her, we’ll sing, we’ll sparkle, and we’ll laugh through the tears.

See you on the dance floor, sweethearts. 🍒

Happy Threshing Day to all who celebrate!🐉

September 29th, join us for a night at Basgiath - complete with Fourth Wing trivia, dragon paint-by-numbers, magical mocktails, prizes, and a few special guests from the Vale*

*For those asking, we're pretty sure Ms. Yarros is busy that day, so unfortunately she won't be joining us. The alternative guests will be more Tairn-shaped than human-shaped, if ya catch our drift.

Tickets include magic mocktails from .velvethammer and a paint-by-numbers kit to bring home an extra little trophy for your shelf. Books can be pre-ordered separately and picked up as early as 10AM MST on 9/29.

Bonus points if you come in costume. Be ready to leave with some new bonds in place, cadets.
