Peacefinders

Peacefinders Peacefinders exists to promote the way of peace as taught by the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ.

Our desire is that you may know the peace that comes from knowing, loving and following Him--a peace that the world cannot give, passing all understanding. Our number one goal is to help bring people into a close saving relationship with Jesus Christ that will prepare them to meet the crisis of the ages just before us and be ready to welcome Him as King of Kings and Lord of Lords when He comes in

the clouds of glory with all His holy angels to take us home to our Heavenly Father. Over the past 47 years, we have distributed free books and other Christ-centered, Bible-based media to over 25 million homes and hundreds of correctional facilities across the United States, bringing hope, peace, comfort, and encouragement to thousands.

Yes. I think it might be a great idea.

The Bible is full of characters we can identify with. Find your biblical avatar—the person whose story reflects parts of your own journey.

Discover their flaws, their struggles, and their victories, but most of all, see how God worked through them.

Then be confident that God can work through you too. He knows you, loves you, and desires to walk with you every step of the way.

It sounds good, right?

Stay strong.
Don't stop.
Muscle up.
Get grit.

We love those messages because they remind us to keep going and not give up.

But here's the question...

Are those always the best answers for every season of life?

Sometimes the greatest strength we can show is the willingness to surrender.

Because the truth is:

We don't know it all. God does.
We aren't the strongest. God is.

Sometimes we need to stop fighting, stop striving, and simply place ourselves in His hands.

Surrender isn't giving up.
Surrender is trusting the One who sees what we cannot see.

"Come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God... If only you would listen to His voice today!"
Psalm 95:6–7

Maybe today isn't a day to muscle through.

Maybe it's a day to bow down and listen. .

Some people think that if they're going with the majority and following the latest trends, they must be on the right path.

Others think that if they're in the minority and standing against the crowd, they must be right.

But here's the reality: neither the majority nor the minority determines truth.

So how do we know what's right? How do we know which direction to go?

We need a standard that never changes. We need a source of truth that isn't influenced by culture, public opinion, or whatever happens to be trending.

That standard is the Bible.

When we build our lives on God's Word, we're not guided by the shifting opinions of people, we're guided by the unchanging truth of God. That's a foundation you can trust, no matter which way the crowd is moving.

I got this straight from a wonderful testimony sermon I heard at church the other day.

The first three "Ps" really weren't new to me... but then came #4, and it stopped me in my tracks.

Can you guess what it is? 🤔

Take a look at Romans 8:18 and see if it gives you a clue.

You see the first three on the post. The fourth one? Well... you'll just have to guess! 😊

I can honestly say this fourth "P" has been such a help in my own life. I've also seen and heard the testimonies of many others who have faced difficult trials and managed them well by living out all four.

I'm looking forward to seeing your guesses!

We were created for relationships—with God, then with one another. Jesus affirmed this when He declared that the greatest commandments are to love God with all our heart and to love our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22:37–39).

As AI companions and human-like robots become more common, we're seeing people turn to artificial relationships to meet very real human needs. Even some governments have begun wrestling with the social implications of replacing human relationships with machines.

No technology, no matter how sophisticated, can love us as God intended or replace the richness of genuine human relationships.

God's design is always wiser than our substitutes.

How many times have you heard lately of adult children abandoning their relationships with their parents? It seems a significant amount of these estrangements are from what is considered toxic behavior from parents. A recent article, I read states that many therapists promote this way of preserving the mental health of the adult children. The question is, is this God's way?

God's Word- Honor your father and mother. Does this mean allow them to control your life or your thinking? Absolutely not, but you have authority over that. Exercise that while still giving honor to your parents.

A smile is better than Botox.

Better than a makeover.

Better than a firm handshake.

Better than a ton of words.

A genuine smile has a way of putting people at ease, opening hearts, and communicating kindness before a single word is spoken.

It costs nothing, yet it can brighten someone's day, encourage a weary soul, and reflect the love of Christ in a simple but powerful way.

So today... don't underestimate your smile.

Someone may need it more than you know.

Happy National Emoji Day. Give a smile, it's free. And so are our resources that help you to grow in the freedom of peace in Christ. Find them here at peacefinders.org

These are just a few states and some of their natural challenges, but the reality is that every place has its drawbacks. Some areas are too dry, others too humid. Some experience hurricanes, while others face tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, or wildfires. Add concerns like overcrowding, crime, or rising costs of living, and it becomes clear:

There is no earthly utopia.

Not in America. Not anywhere in this fallen world.

Creation itself is groaning under the effects of sin, longing for the day when it will be set free from corruption.

The human heart longs for a place of lasting peace, security, and joy. That home is not ultimately found on earth. It is found in Christ. He has prepared an eternal home where there will be no disasters, no suffering, no fear, and no sorrow.

Until that day, our calling is not to search for the perfect place, but to faithfully go wherever God leads us.

As His witnesses, we have the privilege of inviting others to become citizens of His kingdom and heirs of the everlasting home He has prepared for all who trust in Him.
