***ARTIST SPOTLIGHT***

For more than 20 years, Heath has been a driving force in the Midwest music scene as a bandleader, sideman, and studio musician. He has performed at major festivals and venues nationwide, opened for artists such as B.B. King and Robert Cray, and appeared on countless recordings across blues, jazz, soul, and roots music. As producer and arranger of Heath’s annual Iowa Blues Expo, he celebrates and elevates the incredible talent of Iowa artists, making it a standout highlight of the Winter Blues Fest each year. 🎶

Heath Alan is an Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Iowa Blues Hall of Fame singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Des Moines. A lifelong performer, Heath began playing professionally in his early teens and was mentored by Iowa music legends including Patrick Hazell, Joe Price, Roger Miller, and Jonathan Schwabe. Before the age of 18, he received the prestigious Liberace Music Grant and was inducted into the Yamaha Musicians Hall of Fame.
