I really spent some time in Esther this week. Not sure who this is for, but I pray if it is you that you know God has you where you are for a reason. Praying everyone has a great week!
Faith & Fabric Friday
Positioned for a Purpose
Scripture:
āAnd who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?ā ā Esther 4:14 (NIV)
When we first meet Esther, she isnāt looking for a crown. She isnāt seeking power or recognition. She is simply walking the path placed before her, trusting the guidance of those around her and, ultimately, the unseen hand of God. What appeared to be a series of ordinary events was actually God carefully positioning her for an extraordinary purpose.
There came a moment when obedience required courage. Esther could have stayed silent. Speaking up meant risking her comfort, her reputationāeven her life. Yet she chose faith over fear because she understood that God had not placed her where she was by accident.
As quilters, we know that every fabric piece has a purpose. A single square may seem insignificant lying on the cutting table. It may even feel out of place until itās stitched into the quilt. But the designer sees the finished pattern long before the first seam is sewn.
Our lives are much the same. There are seasons when God is quietly arranging the piecesāour experiences, relationships, disappointments, victories, and even our waiting. We may not understand why weāre in a particular place, but God does. He is positioning us for opportunities we cannot yet see.
Sometimes obedience doesnāt look dramatic. It looks like showing up when youāre tired, speaking truth with love, serving faithfully when no one notices, forgiving when itās hard, or trusting Godās timing instead of forcing your own. Those quiet acts of faith become the stitches that hold together the masterpiece God is creating.
If youāve ever wondered why God has you where you are today, remember Esther. Your current season may be preparation for someone elseās miracle. The conversation youāre hesitant to have, the kindness youāre prompted to show, the business youāre building, the family youāre loving, or the burden youāre carrying may all be part of Godās greater plan.
You donāt have to know the whole pattern to trust the Designer.
God isnāt just asking for your abilityāHeās asking for your obedience. And when you walk faithfully with Him, He will place you exactly where you need to be⦠for such a time as this.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being the Master Designer of my life. Help me trust that every season has a purpose, even when I canāt see the finished picture. Give me the courage of Esther to walk in obedience when fear whispers for me to stay silent. Position me where You can use me for Your glory, and help me remain faithful in the small things as You prepare me for the greater ones. May my life point others to You, and may I never forget that I am here by Your design and for Your purpose. In Jesusā name, Amen.
