📚 Battlefield Books is hosting our FIRST Author Signing!

Join us as we welcome Civil War historian and author Brad Quinlin, a renowned researcher, reenactor, and storyteller with more than 25 books on the American Civil War.

Brad has spent over 30 years bringing history to life, working on major films and television productions including Glory, Gettysburg, and Andersonville. His historical expertise has been sought after by major television productions such as on the popular genealogy series Who Do You Think You Are?, where he guided actor Matthew Broderick through the final three days in the life of his great-great-grandfather, Robert Martindale of the 20th Connecticut Infantry, who was killed near Atlanta on July 23, 1864. Brad also served as a research advisor for three additional episodes of the series.
A Master Volunteer with the National Park Service with over 10,000 hours of service, Brad’s research is featured in museums across the country and even helped lead to the 2024 Medal of Honor recognition for soldiers from Andrews’ Raid.

We are pleased to announce the arrival of new releases. Confederate General DH Hill A Military Life authored by Chris Hartley and Atlas of Independence by Chris Mackowski, which is a new edition to the Emerging Revolutionary War Series, are now available. With spring in the air, we hope you will visit Battlefield Books and Gifts soon.
Also on the horizon will be a series of book signings starting off with Brad Quinlin, author of Duty Well Performed The Twenty First Ohio Volunteer Infantry, on March 20th. Stay tuned for further details.

On the tenth day of Christmas, Battlefield Books and Gifts offers... Chess sets! These Revolution and Civil War chess sets are tailored for chess and history aficionados. The Revolution chess set includes custom painted resin pieces presented on a cherry stained chest. The Civil War sets include custom painted resin pieces, with one housed in a black maple chest and the other in a walnut/maple chest.

On the ninth day of Christmas, Battlefield Books and Gifts gave to me Children's books! We take pride in our carefully chosen selection of history-based books for children, which includes the Who Was Series and the acclaimed Magic Treehouse series. To make holiday travel more enjoyable, we offer coloring books. On the eighth day of Christmas, Battlefield Books and Gifts had for me. Wait, what happened to days six and seven? Oh yeah, we were closed, because even retailers need a snooze. Back to the fun!

On the fifth day of Christmas, what amazing gifts does Battlefield Books and Gifts have today?
Today is a double bonus; the fifth day and a new release. We currently received the wonderful book The American Revolution by Geoffrey C. Ward and Ken Burns. This book is based on the recent documentary and is 581-pages of beautiful artwork and great maps.
We also have several titles on colonial times through the Revolution. We have the complete Emerging Revolutionary War Series by Savas Beatie Publishing. These are perfect, easy to read books that fit nicely into those Christmas stockings.
