My journey into real estate actually started about years ago… long before I ever became an agent.

Eight years ago my husband and I bought a foreclosure that had all the things everyone wanted—4 bedrooms, a garage, 5 acres, and beautiful views. But it needed A LOT of work. 😂 Like someone had ripped all of the electrical out of the attic type work. (Photos attached)

We poured so much love into that house. We sanded and painted cabinets, added granite countertops and a shiplap backsplash (because farmhouse was really in 😅), installed new appliances, shower doors, vanities, flooring, and worked on all the little details that made it feel like home again.

I had a baby on my hip and my family supporting us on through the whole process. That home ended up being the first of several homes we would bring back to life.

I’ve always loved houses and real estate. But somewhere along the way, I realized I loved the people and their stories even more.

About five years ago, some friends moved to the area and I found myself explaining the home-buying process to them. Their agent actually looked at me and asked, “Are you a real estate agent?” 😂 I wasn’t… yet.

After the birth of my second daughter, I told my husband I had been thinking about becoming an agent. I knew the process from the buyer and investor side, I had a background in graphic design and marketing, and I felt that there was a gap in our area. I wanted to be the person I had been looking for when I wanted to sell our homes.

I took the leap. Three years in, I still love this job every single day. What started as something I thought might be part-time, has grown into something far beyond what I ever imagined. I’ve been beyond blessed to help so many incredible people.

So, that’s a little piece of my story. If you’re looking for someone who is more than just a real estate agent—someone who who’s been on the other side of the table too—I’d love to help ya!

Talk about ✨vintage✨ You don’t see old-school fuse boxes often! Thankfully, the house had been updated, but they just left this one for character. If not… yikes. 😅

And this is one of those things that can be easy to overlook if you don’t know what you’re looking at or even if you do.

Inspections are ALWAYS important, but I think there’s a lot of value in having an agent who understands the different types of plumbing, electrical, siding, windows, roofing, HVAC, and all the other components that make up a home.

My job isn’t to be your inspector, electrician, or contractor. It’s to recognize things that could potentially be a red flag, know what questions to ask, and know when something deserves a closer look from the right professional.

And it goes beyond the physical house, too. Knowing about things like available rebate programs, energy-efficiency upgrades, financing options available for these repairs, and other resources can make a difference in the overall cost of owning a home.

There are so many little details that come into play when you’re buying a house, and having an agent who knows what to look for and what questions to ask is just one more way I hope to bring value to my clients — beyond negotiations and contracts. 🤍
