Went out this morning with the idea of catching something big, not specific just big. Dropped some big baits and found what we were looking for. 36 inch and 35 inch red snappers. We were truly blessed as the first fish was a 36 inch snapper.

We got out this week before the tropical storm hit. We kept a jack crevelle along with some other great eating stuff. Many people will say the jack crevelle is a trash fish. It is super red meat! I watched a local chef prepare it as if it were beef in a stir fry. I tried that a few years back and now I keep everyone I catch. Same goes with the little tuny (locally called bonita). I recently started bleeding these and removing all the dark bloodline and searing like tuna. Its delicious.

I got a bit behind this summer with my social media. Someone even asked me if we were still fishing. It really just boiled down to me being tired and lazy. I love the fishing part of being a guide but not so much the part that has me on a phone or a computer. We were blessed with a lot of great trips and awesome folks to experience them with. Thank you so much for supporting us!

The red snapper season has been going well, but the red grouper might be stealing the show. We have also been catching a mess of mangrove snappers.

Thanks to everyone that has came out with us this snapper season and Thanks to God for creating these beautiful fish for our table. I can never get over how pretty the red grouper are.
