The past two days when people ask me, with great concern in their voice, how I am coping with the haze in the air here....

THIS is where I point them. Not to me, to us, to the air quality reports in this place. We've got it easy. I point north and west.

Prayers for the families, animals - both wild and domestic, and the heroes fighting the good fight right now.

Sometimes you just need to unplug and sit in a chair outside with a good friend and chat and eat good food and play with fiber. Not many photos were taken, but the ones that were were good.

We also did a fiber weaving experiment!! We used the same pile of fiber and followed the same directions and created two very different but equally beautiful tapestries!! I cannot wait to bring this to y'all as a workshop!!

Watch til the end to enjoy a little slice of twilight on the farm, complete with sheep making themselves heard, and if you watch close enough, you will see the lightning bugs...thousands of them..."like a moving carpet of God's own moonbugs."

OH. M. GEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

I AM OH SOOOOO EXCITED ABOUT MY NEW SARI YARNS!!!!

You guys, I cannot! These are so insanely fun and unpredictable and surprising! I want to use them for all.the.things!

Look for update videos this week to see how I have started using the yarns, and the first round of dyeing!

Let me know if you need in on this action and I can get some in your hands!!

Happy 250th Independence Day!

I would apologize for the tears, but I'm not sorry for them. I cry when I express deep felt feelings, good or bad...these ones are good.

We have so many things to be thankful for as a nation, and it is important to remember them as often as possible (and not just on national holidays).

Of the definitions I mention in the video, my favorite today is this one:

"The quality or state of being free: such as boldness of conception or ex*****on."

BE BOLD AMERICA. BE BOLD IN RELATIONSHIPS, LOVING ONE ANOTHER DEEPLY AND TRULY. BE BOLD IN INNOVATIONS, CREATING BEAUTIFUL SPACES AND IDEAS. BE BOLD IN LIFE THAT YOU MAY CARRY THE TORCH OF FREEDOM FOR GENERATIONS TO COME.

Freedom is easily lost, and must be fiercely protected. Enjoy the fireworks today, but remember why we are here and that we are blessed to live in a nation that was built upon such ideals.

Super excited for our Weaving With Locks workshop at Heritage Farm Alpacas, Farm Stays & Events - Kokomo, IN !!

Still a few spots left, so come join us!!

We will be weaving with a longwool, a downbreed, a primitive, and alpaca! You will have enough fiber to make 1 large project or as many as 4 small ones!
