This newest stovetop cover is a perfect example of why I love working with natural hardwoods.

The deep, rich walnut has just a touch of lighter sapwood running through it, giving it some incredible character. Pair that with the warm tones of cherry and a clean maple accent down the center, and you’ve got a piece that really stands out!

One of my favorite things about woodworking is that no two pieces of wood are ever exactly alike. The grain, the colors, the little imperfections that make each board unique is what makes these pieces special.

At 30” × 22”, this cover is designed for most standard gas and electric stovetops, giving your kitchen a whole new look when the stove isn’t in use.

Every piece is handcrafted right here at Aspen Ridge, and this one is ready to find its new home!

A smooth board in the shop should stay smooth in your kitchen.

This step is called “popping the grain.” After sanding, I dampen the wood to raise those tiny, frayed fibers, then sand it again to remove them. That helps keep the surface from feeling fuzzy the first time you wipe it down.

It’s a small detail that makes a difference and part of the care I put into every Aspen Ridge board.

Bringing something new to the market today! I’ve been working on this magnetic knife display, and I’m excited to finally bring it out for everyone to see in person!

I also wanted to give a shoutout to Americana Leather Company. I bought this leather notebook cover from him, and I love it. Being part of this market means getting to know other makers and bringing home a little of their work, too.

Come by Aspen Ridge today, take a look at the new display, and say hello! Then head across the street and check out Americana’s work!

The new and improved knife displays came in handy for family pumpkin carving! Just place the display in the middle of the table and everyone has access to all the knives. We strive for our product to be multi functional and beautiful.
