Hi friends,
Here it is. The Big Announcement we told you was coming. I wonโt bury the lede:
Knitting Off Broadway is now ๐๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ป๐ถ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ฑ๐!
Okay, we know, change is hard. Letโs take a breath - this isn't goodbye. Your favorite shop isn't going anywhere. Itโs the same building, the same floorboards, the same community that's kept this place alive for so many years. What's changing is the name on the door, and a whole lot of new energy behind it.
But why, you ask. Natalie Bell built Knitting Off Broadway into a Fort Wayne treasure, with a real community of clients who became friends. And we love what she built, and are honored to be allowed to take it forward.
But hereโs the thing, we're not Natalie, and we don't want to pretend to be. She built something real here, and the most respectful thing we can do isn't to keep wearing her name, but to build on top of what she started, as ourselves: A little bit granny, a little bit cheeky, fully down to earth, and having entirely too much fun with a cat who looks like she's about to start trouble.
That's Bad Cat Knit Goods. ๐ง๐ต๐ฎ๐'๐ ๐๐.
We're not doing this quietly, either. Weโre bringing you new products, new yarn lines, a fresh shop design, weekly knit nights, classes and knit-alongs, and much more. We'll be participating in regional yarn crawls, First Fridays, and other local and regional events. We want the shop that raised so many in this craft to also welcome the next generation of knitters walking through our doors for the first time. Because this community deserves to grow, not just survive.
None of that works without you. You're not an audience for a rebrand, you're the reason there's anything to rebrand at all. So we hope you will embrace the changes.
