The hair typing system has been around for YEARS… so is it still helpful today?

Absolutely—but only when you understand what it can and cannot tell you.
Knowing whether your hair falls within the 2, 3 or 4 hair type range gives you a starting point for understanding your curl pattern and how your hair may behave. 💗

I don’t believe we need to throw the hair typing system away—we just need to stop expecting it to tell us EVERYTHING about our hair.

Use your hair type as a guide, not the entire roadmap.
Once you understand your texture AND what your individual hair needs, choosing your products and building a healthy hair routine becomes a whole lot easier.
