I didn’t realize about 15 years ago when I met Kirk Bonds how much of an influence and impact he would make on my life later on. I was just a young man working in an archery shop and I would work on his stuff from time to time and listen to all of the amazing hunting stories he had. Now I get to share deer camp with him, learn and heed his advice, but most importantly I get to call him one of my best friends. Kirk hammered this big Oklahoma 8 point on the second morning of season with his Bowtech Archery Virtue 80, the Victory Archery VLR and the Grim Reaper Broadheads pro 3 blade made for quick work of him. This morning I was fortunate enough to shoot my biggest buck to date with my Darton Archery Tritech 33. The Victory HLR and the G5 Outdoors Deadmeat did just the trick. I can’t thank you enough Kirk for all you have taught me and I look forward to many more years of chasing these big whitetails together! There is nearly 300 inches of antler in the picture of us together. What a great start to bow season!

We always approach each day at our shop with a servants heart, and I hope we are leading by example every day. Then you look up and see our amazing JOAD kids doing the exact same thing and you realize they are paying more attention than you think. We needed to re-stripe the shooting line and these kids showed up in full force ready to serve and they did an amazing job. Thank you to the kids and their parents for allowing them to come out today. So proud of the group our two coaches have put together and looking forward to all of their accomplishments this year!

Every year when we flip the calendar to September the shop has a little different feel, mainly because this man heads to Colorado and we miss seeing him at the shop. He is one of the best people that God ever put on this Earth, and we can’t help but be ecstatic for him. Mr. CD Holly took this bull on opening morning of the Colorado season. He shot him with his Prime Archery Divide 33 and the Trump Beast broadhead. The real story is not the elk, but just how deserving this man is of the opportunity and how much he means to all of us at the shop. Great job CD and congratulations on a great bull.

Dakota Tinney laid the hammer down on this Colorado public land bull. The Mathews Archery Arc 30 hit the mark and the G5 Outdoors Mega Meat did the rest. I wish I could post the blood trail, but believe me when I tell you it was A BIG ONE. Great job my man!

Don’t forget, we still have a few spots left!

Mr. Campbell couldn’t leave Wisconsin without punching his velvet buck tag as well. He absolutely hammered this buck with his Mathews Archery Lift X 33. I’d post the pic of the entry hole that the G5 made but I’m afraid I’d get banned. What a great deer to start the season. The Campbells are on the board and are turning into a very lethal couple with their bows in hand. Congratulations on a great hunt.
