After MANY years of off-and-on working on this project, I finally finished this cross stitch this afternoon! I think I started working on this during the pandemic, put it down a couple of years, then took it back up for a bit, then my eyesight went to h #*!. Then I found a magnifying glass/lamp combo & started really cranking it out again!

It's not perfect, especially the outlining, 😆 but I'm happy with it. Now I'll frame it & hang it. This will probably be the last cross stitch this detailed I can do, so I'm glad I managed to finish it. I'll post a pic once I have it cleaned up, ironed, & framed! Stay tuned!

Was clearing some stuff out & came upon my old coupon box. Since there aren't many paper coupons anymore, the box had been sitting on top of the fridge for years, so it was time to toss! That's when I saw this coupon that I had never used & it made me mad all over again about that whole situation. 🤬

WARNING! Getting political for a minute here!

It's past time for the government to do something about these private equity companies coming in, sucking all the life & value out of a good business, then shutting it down & running with the cash, leaving thousands of people out of a job. It's unacceptable, & we need more regulations to protect workers & the public from these vampires.

Made this little quilt for my godson's baby boy. He's not born yet & they haven't picked a name or a nursery theme so this is what he gets. 😆 Hopefully by his first birthday he'll have a name & I can make a quilt with that name on it. 😉

My Godkids are all grown up & even having children of their own these days... Where does the time go?

This is a belated quilt for my god daughter's daughter who just turned a year old. I would have made one when she was born, but I heard a rumor that her grandmother on her father's side was making one, so I just went on a shopping spree from her baby shower registry. 😆 Recently, when I heard through the grapevine that her handmade quilt never materialized, I got to work! This is big enough for a twin bed, so it will definitely cover her toddler bed.

Next up: thinking of a Christmas gift for my now high school Senior Girl Scouts. Where DOES the time go, indeed... 😩 😢

I couldn't resust, so I went back to JoAnn's with the hubby to round up some scraps, & went a little crazy! 😆 We filled 2 baskets to overflowing! These are full 8 yard bolts of fleece I got for literally 7 cents each!! I got some $20 a yard sherpa fabric for 36 cents a bolt! I spent another $12 for another $1,000 haul. So, what you're looking at here cost me less than $1.

There was another lady there getting the green fleece too for some blankets for an animal rescue. We were talking about our charity projects & she said, "I will never be able to afford to donate so much again." She's right! We will do so much good with all we bought & that will be JoAnn's final legacy: all the charities that will benefit from products made with all this clearance fabric.

Now to find a place to store all these full bolts! This is just the green ones, btw....
