If you know me, you know I shy away from networking events. As an introvert, I like to “hide” behind my flowers, and let them speak for me. But this year was different.

Like many in the industry, 2025 brought on some challenges. We needed to adapt and make some changes that felt uncomfortable at times. One of those changes included networking more. But with growth and doing new and uncomfortable things usually brings reward.

We connected with a new planner friend, at a event. With this new connection we were able to collaborate on this project last weekend🙌 Moments like these~ when vendors can come together and support each other’s creativity is worth 1000 moments of uncomfortable.

I found a little bee in my window sill that didn’t make it. It was so timely because my backyard has been buzzing with them as our mint and watermelon vine have been flowering 🙌 I decided to add this little guy to my arrangement, and dedicate it to ever important bees who keep our gardens thriving ✨🙏

am settling in back home and came back to a beautiful harvest from the garden. So many things were blooming when I got back! Dahlias, eggplants, potatoes, cucumbers, and even a new variety of blush Aster🙌

I had no idea how easy it is to grow dahlias ~ they have always intimidated me, but so far, the two varieties that I tried have grown beautifully.

Last ~ we had to put my favorite chicken down this week. Zendaya was the life of the garden ~ she always ran up to greet me whenever I went to the backyard. She was the leader of the flock and such a smart and sweet girl. The heartbeat of our garden has seemed to dissipate. She will be missed 💕

I am so full of gratitude for a week of reflection and new connections. If anyone owns a business, they can tell you there are emotional ups and downs~ uncertainties, self-doubt, changing times, along with successes.

As a business owner, this week has given me time to meet others who have walked in my shoes, through similar peaks and valleys. Can anyone relate?! Balancing the many facets of business ownership, client needs, family, while still having space for exploring/growing your creativity can feel like a juggling act.

I’m looking forward to returning home with renewed intentions and focus and am looking forward to what lies ahead!✨🙏 Photo:
