So this set of mugs was made for lovers of cats and dogs! 🐱🐈🐶🐕

POTTERS NOTES:
The clay is Laguna BMix5 fired to cone 5.5
The cat texture roller was ordered from PotteryToolsUSA.
The dog texture roller was ordered from WanderingSoulPottery.
The glaze is Mayco Stroke and Coat The Blues with a little Amaco Honeyflux on the rim.

My latest things out of the kiln… some adorable Christmas tree luminaries. I played with a number of things… the shape of the trees, the textures, with a star or without, even three different white glazes.

I photographed these candle holders with a 3x3 candle but actually votives look lovely in them also. Feel free to share your opinions or preferences.

Oops…. It’s Mugshot Monday!!!! This glaze ran more than I was expecting but it’s still beautiful and I like how the underglaze design shows through.


POTTERS NOTES:
The clay is Laguna BMix5 fired to cone 6
The underglaze transfer is called Cross Stitch Sampler by Ceramica Transfers.
The glazes are Amaco Clear Satin Matte x 2 over the whole surface, Amaco Honeyflux x 2 on the top 1/3 of the mug, and Amaco Chun Plum x 2 over the top 1/3 of the mug.

Well…. This didn’t turn out exactly as planned, but I really do love it exactly how it is.

I was going for a creamier glaze color than what it got but the clay reacted with the glaze to give me a richer, earthier result.

POTTERS NOTES:
The clay is Laguna Speckled Buff fired to cone 6.
The glaze is Mayco Birch x 3

Just a little sneak peek of things to come. These different buddies are currently in the raw state waiting for enough to fill my kiln. 😜

The tiny round ones are pocket buddies. They’re emotional support buddies that you need to keep with you.

The bigger ones are clay buddies that can sit on your desk to make you smile. They all have different facial expressions.

The bigger pocket buddies as well as the clay buddies have little booties. Most of the clay buddies will come with different hats to add to their personalities.

It’s August and you know what that means…. Time to start cranking out the Christmas projects. Ornaments, candle rings, Christmas trees, etc.

They may be predicting a high of 97° today but I’m feeling all Christmassy. Well actually I’m feeling more sweaty and muddy but we’ll say it’s Christmassy. 🎄🎅🏻

This is a project I’ve had in the back of my mind for so long. I finally got myself out into my garagio this morning before the heat sets in.

Large flat pieces have the greatest likelihood of cracking or breaking while going through all the stages of pottery making…. drying, bisque firing, glazing, glaze firing. Fingers crossed. 🤞
