Everyday you go thru a lot of emotions. Happy cuz you got a coupon to your favorite restaurant for lunch. Mad when you find out your coupon code don't work. Frustrated then sad then defeated. And that's just lunch. Emotions are fleeing. Joy is not an emotion, more a state of being. You can have joy and still be mad. Perfect example is the lady who was able to retire her husband and someone on the outside of her marriage had something to say. Her response (not reaction) is my definition of joy. Not her words, but her state of being was pure joy. And is what I strive to have.

I've noticed that most of my issues with others come from the fact that instead voicing my feelings I expect they know what I want. as a child I was told my feelings don't matter, as an adult I continued to believe that. Not anymore! A friend told me it take a lifetime to live. I'm working on myself everyday. I know if I work a little everyday in about 100 years I'll be perfect enough!!! Plus at the age of 143 I really don't think it'll matter to much if I'm not perfect, being alive will be an even greater accomplishment. That's how I see it and you can't change my mind 😜😛😛
