A little nostalgia and in the spirit of the Giro I present my Giambrone # 3 of 4. I’d used this frame as a heavyweight resistance training bike complete with PowerCranks and the heaviest components I could find. Probably have 10k miles on it. I took 2 semesters of welding at the tech school and I had Jerry Lawson, a genius of an engineer, help me with the jig and machining at his home shop. The welds aren’t pretty and the epoxy is JB Weld but the thing has lasted. I knew after my last frame ( # 4 which went to Tom Brandt) that I’d much rather be riding than trying to become a master builder. It was a road I have no regrets whatsoever having gone down. It gave me a greater understanding of how and why geometry makes the ride what it is and that the bicycle is one of the greatest inventions ever made…imho.
