This thing's been sitting in my shop for about 6 months to get some extraction and feeding issues fixed on it. Due to my surgery and some other crap going on haven't been able to work on it. Today's a federal holiday I'm a federal employee I had an extra day off. Got to looking at it and the customer sent a couple of extractors to look at as well in the past, I tried both of these out and I wasn't able to get the rounds to feed properly live or in a safe environment. Got to thinking about it the other day and decided to put one of these extractors and vice and file down the forward hook on there. I noticed prior that the rim of the casing would not fit between the face or the firing pin comes out and the extractor and figured that's where the problem was. Got that figured out polish down the lips on the magazine polish the ramp and the chamber and bingo! This is a Wallam 48 Hungarian pistol manufacturer 1958. Thanks to my customer, and now has some N**i extractors in it. They're even stamped with the N**i eagle. Some of the parts for these pistols were manufactured during the war and you can still find them. This pistol is interesting because it actually has two extractors on them and the top extractor also acts as a chamber indicator. This is a Hungarian version of a Walther PP so many of the parts are interchangeable. This is a fun little pistol to work on and it fires 380 ACP with absolutely no issues at all.

"According to court records, Crisp-Carr, 20, was sentenced to a two-year probation for a weapons charge he pleaded guilty to in May 2025. Due to his conviction on the felony charge, he was banned from owning or possessing a firearm for life."

Then how did this guy get his hands on a firearm? take note!

While keeping law abiding citizens from arming and protecting themselves, the criminals still have no issues obtainging fi****ms even if the law says that they are not allowed to have them.

This is almost 100% the case in most crimes. They are prior offenders banned from owning, purchasing, handeling, or even being around fi****ms, yet here we are.

Police have identified and arrested the second suspect in the Old West End Festival shooting, according to Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz.

Today, the Department of Revenue, Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) are requesting feedback from Coloradans, stakeholders, and industry experts to help inform final guidance on SB25-003 that will be issued in July.

Signed by Governor Jared Polis in April 2025, Senate Bill 25-003 promotes public safety by requiring firearm safety training and an eligibility card issued by a sheriff to purchase and/or transfer specified semiautomatic fi****ms. SB25-003 also prohibits the purchase and sale of all rapid-fire conversion devices, like bump stocks and binary triggers.

The Fi****ms Dealer Division (FDD) within the Department of Revenue, CPW, and CBI are actively working with stakeholders, industry experts, and advocates to ensure different perspectives are captured and considered as they implement the new law.

Proposed Specified Semiautomatic Firearm Guidance

On May 15, the FDD published and made available draft guidance about specific models of fi****ms, as required by SB25-003.

As part of its commitment to an open and transparent process, the FDD shared a form for anyone to submit feedback and comments on the proposed fi****ms guidance. This form will remain open until midnight on June 5, 2026. The FDD will release the official guidance on July 1, 2026, and the new law will take effect on August 1, 2026.

Fi****ms Safety Program

As part of the legislation, starting August 1, 2026, individuals must obtain an eligibility card from their sheriff and complete a fi****ms safety course before purchasing or transferring a Specified Semiautomatic Firearm (SSF). This law only affects those who will purchase and transfer SSFs after August 1, 2026. Those who are in possession of an SSF prior to August 1, 2026, are not affected by this new legislation.

For updated information from CPW on how to purchase or transfer an SSF beginning August 1, visit CPW's Fi****ms Safety Program page.

Background Checks

The CBI InstaCheck Unit has prepared and trained an additional 20 reserve staff members from various sections within the CBI to prepare for the implementation of SB25-003.

Starting August 1, 2026, Colorado will block the purchase of most semi-auto rifles and shotguns with detachable magazines, along with gas-operated pistols, unless you first clear a new state permit system and obtain a super special gun buyer’s card.

Despite it having nothing to do with wildlife or conservation, Colorado Parks and Wildlife has been put in charge of building and enforcing this program.

They’re holding a public meeting at CPW Headquarters in Denver on Thursday, April 23 at 6:00PM. No registration required.

At that meeting, staff will walk through how they plan to roll this out and take questions. If you want to hear firsthand how this system is being built and provide input, this is your chance.
