MySpace, one of the biggest social networks of the 2000s, is planning another comeback.

Current owners Chris and Tim Vanderhook have confirmed that they want to relaunch the platform, but they have not announced a launch date or revealed all of the details yet.

The brothers bought MySpace in 2011 after the site had lost much of its popularity to Facebook and other social networks.

The new plan comes as more people complain about social media feeds being controlled by algorithms that decide what users see. MySpace co-founder Chris DeWolfe has also criticized the way modern platforms are designed to keep people scrolling.

The idea behind the new MySpace is to offer something different from today's algorithm-heavy social networks. This is why the planned service has been described as an “anti-algorithm” social network.

However, MySpace has not officially announced that it will have a completely algorithm-free feed, and it has not said that the new platform is specifically being built to compete with Facebook.

For now, the comeback is still being planned. There is no confirmed launch date and no full list of new features.
