4 years ago this week we took a huge leap of faith, moved half way across the country Beverly hillbillies style. 😆

Lived in a camper for 6 months and then Maple Acres was born from blood, sweat, tears and a dream to bring a property back to life that had so much potential!

Are we crazy 🤪 ?! Was it the best decision?!
Absolutely 💯. We landed in the best small town community that I had only dreamed our boys would be able to grow up in!

Thank you all for your support over the years! I will start to share some of our crazy diy house renovations with y’all!

Today’s project: Fermented Honey Garlic 🍯🧄

👩‍🔬Fermented garlic honey combines raw honey and raw garlic to create a sweet, savory remedy with immune and wellness properties. Both Garlic and Honey contain natural antioxidant, antibacterial, anti inflammatory and antiviral compounds. The fermentation process begins when the juice from the garlic mixes with the honey, breaking down both ingredients on a chemical level.

😷Use the mixture as a remedy to soothe sore throats, ease coughs, clear sinuses during a cold & to help ease flu symptoms. As always these powerful immune boosting ingredients are going to help you combat all the ick this season!

🍽️ This mixture can also be used to elevate glazes, dressings and marinades in your everyday cooking!

The fire c***r 🔥 is officially made, and now it gets to rest for 4-6 weeks before it’s ready to use!

🍎 Fire c***r is a vinegar-based herbal tonic made with ingredients like apple c***r vinegar, onion, lemon, ginger, turmeric, garlic, cinnamon, and fresh herbs.
🍑 You can add whatever you like or don’t like! Mine has oranges, lemon, lime, red onion, jalapeño, garlic, horseradish, ginger, cloves, cinnamon sticks and rosemary!
🧄 With all these amazing antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory ingredients it’s been used to support digestion, warm the body, and support the immune system.
😷 Once it’s ready, it can be taken as a small daily shot during cold and flu season and best mixed with some local honey for sweetness.
🍽️ Can also be used in the kitchen as a flavorful addition to things like salad dressings and marinades.

📢Announcement ‼️

After much consideration (and indecision on my part) we have decided NOT to attend Market on Main tomorrow morning. 🚫
Instead we will be headed to watch our boys play football 🏈 for the official kickoff of their season!

However, my indecisive self made some really healthy looking starter so it just had to be used up! 🤷‍♀️😹

➡️Sooo The Bread Wagon 🍞will be out with some sourdough loaves available and possibly some other goodies!! Stay tuned in the AM!
