I have been in the floral industry for over 25 years and doing Interior design consulting for 15. I love a project, dissecting it, molding it and breathing life into it. I love being able to transform a room and create an atmosphere that perfectly fits my client. I love fresh flowers! Ranunculus, Sunflowers, Peonies, Tulips, Sea Holly, Hydrangeas, Carnations.......yep, I admit it, I love the varie

ty of colors they have, and banked or grouped together in an arrangement, pretty fabulous. I love permanent botanicals! I'm a bit of a flower snob, if it's artificial it must look real! I love to create any type of floral piece; for a table, a funeral, weddings or just because. The opportunity to design for a client with flowers or in accessories, just makes me grateful and happy!

This bride was a little more special. When Megan was about six or seven she would come to Grandma Joyce’s house after school. And during the Christmas season, I would be there decorating. She was my little shadow and design assistant. To be able to watch this sweet girl grow up and become such a lovely woman is an incredible blessing. “Do you just design flowers for weddings, funerals and occasions?”
I’m frequently asked this question, and the answer is no. I am often asked to consult on design ideas for spaces in homes and businesses (many of you frequent the local businesses I design for in town).
Yesterday’s project was in Bay City. I’ve done several projects in their home, including a floral/greenery ceiling install in their Tiki Bar….and in a few weeks, adding on to that project!
My husband Ed, who by the way is an awesome carpenter and finisher, and I worked several hours doing the install/hanging of all these collected items my client has. Our first project was his workshop office and bathroom and then a cute workout space for her! Thanks Chelsea and Scott for inviting us into your spaces!

I filled the St Lorenz church with flowers this morning for some very heartfelt celebrations. The first to celebrate a life very well lived, the second to celebrate a heavenly Birthday and lastly, to celebrate 10 years of service in ministry. I am always so honored when I am asked to create florals for these special occasions.
