WOW! Earlier this week, at our Monthly Movie Club that we co-sponsor with The Betsie Current at The Garden Theater, we had 50 people show up to our free showing of Wet Hot American Summer, to close out the "Locals Summer" season.

Also, even though it was technically a "free" movie, we told folks that we would take donations for Frankfort Elberta Area Schools's 6th graders to attend Leelanau Outdoor Center (LOC) camp, to go along with the film's camp theme--and we raised $251!

Students get 2 nights of lodging, 7 meals, and all activities, which include: zip lining, rock wall climbing, high ropes course, human foosball, nature hike, night hike, and bonfire--not to mention the importance of creating a positive class culture! (It costs $212 per kid to attend camp, so any donation you send will help to offset the costs!)

Ever wonder how our chocolate gets made? 🍫

From combining our dry ingredients with pure, unsweetened cacao pieces to carefully mixing and smoothing the chocolate, every step creates the rich, creamy taste you know and love.

Once it’s ready, we mold it into 10-lb. bars, cool it on racks, and wrap each one by hand. That same chocolate is then used for our smaller bars and items made right in the store.
