Ok.. So, on Deadsy Talk with Deadsy... Luthier's/Advanced Engineering on not only electric guitars, basses, pick-ups, and electronics... Now, I understand not all of you know what a Luthier is, because you "think you know more" but we're the As****es who design, build and engineer the wiring for your s**t... So, today's topic is to put to rest the whole "Changing my tone up".. It's on the regular, you see someone posting some dude's signature series pick-ups in a guitar with the idealism "Changing my tone up".. Well, It Really doesn't work that way.. See, dropping a set of hotter pickups into a guitar with stock company Potentiometers, Resistors, wire gauges, and so on doesn't do much other than suck the same resistance your other pickups were having to battle.... Each component in your electric guitar is a Mathematical calculation... Your instrument basically runs on Resistance... All the way from the pickups to the Amplifier.. So, throwing a hot ass set of pick-ups over top of stock 250k or 500k Potentiometers which are most factory standard.. (the thingines that control volume, and tone k***s) is basically defeating a whole load of purpose.... There are more and better options.. However, I'm just an alternative luthier and engineer with over 30 years of experience in playing and working. What do I know..... P.S... #313.... There's a reason I got out of the "Local" and unsigned music scene. When it comes to running a small business everyone is always up in arms about Support Local Bands. But no one really ever supports local Luthiers and Engineers. So there's really no choice but to eventually go corporate if you actually want your business to succeed.. Some would call that "selling out" but those are the A-holes still complaining about Corporate chains and still going to them.. What can ya do.. People are usually full of s**t!.... Support those who support you!!!.......

Ok. I get it. You got a deal at Guitar Center and now you're a technology super genius.. But the fact of the matter is, If you don't know pickup resistance, POT values and so on you're not "Upgrading your sound" you're just spending money on brand names that you don't understand... It is, however, amazing how many social media guitar wizards want to sell their word as gold, yet have no clue what their actually talking about... Step it up a little bit, and learn your gear.

This is a great read. Something as a Luthier I've always stressed when it comes to "updating your tone"... And contrary to popular belief. It's materials not name brand..

Your Sound Becomes Electric Here This unassuming coil of wire is the thing that makes your tone electric. Without this, you are just playing a quiet acoustic

Guitarist & Bassists... Considering the quantity of Potentiometers, New wiring stock and resistor types. I think I might have to do a sale... Any passive 1, 2 or 3 pickup rewiring $35... Well... It seems Mechanikal Kandy Guitar & Mod. has gotten a s**t-load more likes since the last time I'd checked... Fvcking excellent!.... And with this, In the coming weeks, I'll be taking suggestions and chatting with guitarists in order to locate a working musician to test out not only a new set of Asylum 9. Scatter-wound humbuckers, But also several new effects builds yet to get their patent numbers... So, Once again. Thanks everyone, and from everyone here at Asylum 9. and M.K Guitar's...
