Wrapping up our Adventurous Appliqué Blog Hop, Maryellen of Mary Mack Made Mine shared her compelling quilt, inspired by the Egyptian cartouche. Her finish blends intricate appliqué with playful thread painting and uses every fabric from the Island Batik Geometrica collection. Finished with dark blue borders and scrappy binding, Maryellen's quilt is a fitting finale to a creative and inspiring Adventurous Appliqué Blog Hop!

To make the quilt, Maryellen also used coordinating thread, provided for this Blog Hop by our friends at Aurifil, the Electric Quilt 8 software, Heirloom 80/20 Bleached batting by Hobbs Quilt Batting, a size 12 non-stick needle by SCHMETZneedles and her oliso Pro iron.
