We grow healthy plants, share expert advice with a smile, and craft landscape consulting for local homeowners & big companies- all rooted in care for our land and community. Winding Stair Gardens is Franklin’s premier garden center, a fixture in Franklin, NC for years, growing from a small farm operation into one of Western North Carolina’s most trusted independent garden centers. Rooted in a deep love for the Southern Appalachians, we’ve built our nursery around plants that belong here, species that support local ecosystems, attract native pollinators, and genuinely thrive in our mountain climate.
