After finishing the Ethan Allen dining room set my client wanted her dad’s vintage gentlemen chest along with two Bombay Chests reimagined for her youngest daughter’s room. I have had the pleasure of transforming several pieces for these clients and usually when we schedule one project it turns into 2 or 3.
As I mentioned above the gentlemen’s chest was her Dads and the two Bombay chests are pieces they have had for years. They definitely were well used and looking a little worn. Even with the wear their classic design was still evident.
All three pieces received a blocker before painting and then were transformed with Dixie Belle Fuff, a little distressing and a touch of gold then sealed with Gator Hide.

Finally returned to custom chalk painting after my release following shoulder surgery. It was a long five (5) months however my abilities are getting stronger every day. With the Grace of God and amazing clients I have completed several custom projects since July, and scheduled many more. Old, well loved pieces can be reimagined and given many more years of life.
