Today I started working on the leather pieces for my pack basket. We beveled all the edges, dyed our leather and then smoothed and rounded the edges. More to come tomorrow!

Day 3 (24 hrs) of constructing our Pack Baskets! These days have been filled with scraping splints, weaving, unweaving and weaving again, joy, laughter, community and connection. Our hands are sore but most of our skin is in tact 😊. We will be back next weekend to finish our Pack Baskets!

Day 1 (of 7)-Making our pack baskets!!! Today was mostly dedicated to processing the Black Ash pieces we will be using to construct the baskets. Soaking, cutting & scraping.

I’m so excited that I finally got a typewriter poem by Johnny Types!!!
He asks a few questions to get to know you or the person you would like the poem to be about. Then he types the poem right there in front of you. He has the ability to listen and truly hear you and the skill to create beautiful and meaningful poetry from the words and stories you share with him. He is currently set up at The Red Magic Art Festival at Jackson Park today but I know he does events throughout the year. Like and follow him Johnny Types And if you get the chance sit down with him and share some words, you will receive an amazing one of a kind keepsake. 💗
