How many of you went fishing with your grandparents? My grandmother fished with a long bamboo pole, with a line we would call backing tied to the end of it. My grandfather would coil it up carefully and hand toss it into the water. I remember her catching hornpout like this in the reservoir outside of Swanton Vermont.
