First cuttings came in down about 50% this year, and the wet stretch that caused it hasn't let up much since! Normally, barns are full by now, but this year we know that a lot of farmers around here are still out running hay equipment, watching the days get shorter, and the drying windows get narrower by the week.

When you can't count on a dry stretch, wrapping it wet turns the weather from a problem into a non-issue. That's what the Anderson RB-200 is built for, and it's how those marshmallow bales you see rolling out of fields this time of year get put up despite everything working against them. We've got a couple sitting on the lot right now if you want to take a look.

This year marked the 30th anniversary of the Frederick County Farm Bureau Safety Camp. It's a 3-day camp at Camp Round Meadow for kids ages 8-13 that focuses on teaching safe agricultural practices.

D.W. Ogg donated a Massey tractor, a Ventrac, and a Wright zero-turn so campers could run an actual driving course and learn how to operate the equipment safely, instead of just hearing about it.

Watching these kiddos work through the course reminded us why this camp matters. They're the next generation of farmers and ag workers; they have to start somewhere, and the safety habits they build now will stick with them for good!

Same parts counter. Fresh coat of paint. Still the D.W. Ogg you know and love!

We came across this older picture of our parts department before the showroom was painted, and it is a pretty neat reminder of how much has changed while the important things have stayed the same.

The walls may look different now, but the work behind this counter is still what it has always been: helping customers find the right equipment parts, answer questions, and keep their machines ready for the job.

Fair season is here, and our equipment display is ready to go!

Denny custom-built this setup so we could bring a little bit of D.W. Ogg out to the fairgrounds, complete with equipment, information, and a familiar local face for anyone who wants to stop by and talk.

You can find us at the Carroll County 4-H & FFA Fair and the Jefferson County Fair this August. Come see what we brought, ask a few questions, and say hello while you’re there.

We always enjoy getting out into the community and catching up with the people who keep this region moving.

Some pieces of equipment are more than machines.

This Oliver crawler tractor in our showroom is part of the D.W. Ogg family history, and it is one of those pieces that always makes people stop and take a second look.

Around here, equipment has always been tied to work, family, land, and the stories that get passed down with it. That is a big part of why we do what we do today.

It's field transition season! We hope everyone is gathering their bales, taking advantage of the recent rain, and getting those beans in the ground while the timing is right.

This time of year moves fast, especially when you’re trying to collect your bales and plant soybeans. And while all this work is happening, the DW Ogg team has a lot of respect for a beautiful bale, so let's see them! 🫶

Some tractors are built for the kind of work that isn't quite so small once you start doing it! This Massey Ferguson compact tractor is a good fit for property owners who need more capability than a mower, but don't need to overdo it with a full-size machine.

Around here, the 4th of July means more than fireworks and cookouts. It's also the time of year when farmers are out checking the fields and watching the weather. That kind of work doesn't stop for a holiday.
