We’re so excited to welcome three Virginia makers bringing handmade pottery, small-batch pickles and truly exceptional craft chocolate to Hanover Place:

🏺 .ceramics — Functional, handmade pottery designed to bring a little more beauty and joy to everyday moments—including the sweetest miniature pottery blind boxes!

🥒 — Handcrafted in Virginia using locally sourced produce, with creative flavors that go far beyond the ordinary pickle.

🍫 — Award-winning bean-to-bar chocolate handcrafted in Occoquan from ethically sourced cacao, with each bar created to showcase the distinctive flavors of its origin.

Their displays are ready to shop now—and this is only the beginning. Four more Fall Resident Artisans will be joining us soon!

Grassroots Sunday is returning to Hurkamp Park this fall, and applications are officially open!

We’re looking for local artists, makers, bakers, growers, vintage curators + creative small businesses to join us for a beautiful fall afternoon in the heart of Downtown Fredericksburg. ✨

If you’ve been thinking about trying a market, getting your work in front of new people, or joining us for Grassroots Sunday — this is your sign to apply.

Applications are now open for our Fall 2026 Artisan Residency. 🍂

At Hanover Place, we’re building more than a shop. We’re creating a destination where handcrafted goods, local food, coffee, beer, wine, and thoughtful experiences come together under one roof.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for makers whose work feels at home in that vision.

Whether you create functional pottery, original artwork, textiles, botanical creations, leather goods, stationery, home décor, or something entirely your own, we’d love to see what you’re creating.

A little behind-the-scenes progress…

The new café/bar countertops are finished and getting ready for installation at Hanover Place.

It’s exciting to finally see pieces that have lived in sketches and measurements become real.

Still lots to do before we launch the kitchen and beer/wine service, but we’re getting very close!
