Smitty's Tacklebox carries both used and new hard to find or discontinued crankbaits and a variety of custom bass fishing tackle made by small independent manufacturers.

Got out for a little fun fishing today. Took a bunch of new baits to play with. Caught a few. Really surprised we didn't catch more in one area. Full of grass and fish jumping and nothing 🤔🤷. No bait or fry or bluegills. Nothing. Water was very warm though. I guess even the little guys leave the grass for cooler deeper water.

My friend Ron Eminson passed away yesterday. Known as King Conowingo for his knowledge of the tidal Susquehanna river below the Conowingo dam and his excellent jig making skills. He taught me about shore shopping and monkey baths. Unfortunately I never got to fish with him but he loved collecting Bomber baits. Semper Fi.

I did catch this nice crappie on a Pop X and may have missed a couple others. I think this is a first for me.
