After seven years, it’s time for something new. Phosphene will be closing this Fall.

I opened Phosphene as a way to share beautiful things that I loved from brands and makers I admired, and over the past seven years it has endured and evolved into something I am so proud of. Being a small business owner has taught me so much about myself as an entrepreneur and creative, has introduced me to so many people and fostered relationships I cherish. Phosphene has shaped so much of who I am. But endings are also beginnings, and I am ready to let go to create room to explore what is next.

We’ll be sharing more information about what will be changing at Phosphene over the coming weeks as the business winds down, but most importantly, I want to share this - from the bottom of my heart, thank you for being a part of Phosphene. Phosphene was a line on a spreadsheet of dreams, brought to reality and made possible because of your support, and I will always be grateful.

A few favorites from a perfect summer Saturday. Heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to spend the day with us and FIELD and CLEVER BEAST BOTANICALS! The shop is back open again today from 11AM to 4 PM and we have a few beautiful floral arrangements from FIELD left. Come say hi and treat yourself to some flowers to start the new week :)

To pre-order your flowers, head over to our website, add to cart and select in-store pick up at checkout. You can also DM us and we will email you an invoice. Pick up during the event on Saturday or during normal store hours on Sunday (11AM-4PM).

Summer ready with the latest from SEA + PATTERN. Anklets, bracelets, necklaces & earrings all handmade in Los Angeles, California using Japanese seed beads, freshwater pearls, onyx, smoky and clear quartz, shells and sterling silver hardware.

Summer so far.. outfits on repeat, beach roadtrips, pop up events at the shop with friends and seasonal cooking inspired by farmers market finds.

Come see us at the shop this weekend. We’re open Thursday through Sunday, and staying open late on Friday from 5 to 8 PM for as we host local artist and friend Janet Sullivan for an art show and sale. We’ll be serving light bites and cold bevvies and have a new vintage drop for our local friends.

Expect a thoughtful assortment of Na Nin’s in house clothing and fragrance lines - all inspired by nostalgia - and Lasso La Lune’s handmade textiles, which feature handcraft techniques like crochet lace, embroidery and natural dyes, alongside Appalachia-inspired fine jewelry. Visit the Fredericksburg Farmer’s Market, then come see us around the corner ☀️

Ripple Eau de Parfum — a fresh scent with blended notes of sage, salt water, patchoulis and smoke. Inspired by a first time “I love you” on a trip to Nicaragua. Hand made in Richmond, Virginia - one hour south of our shop - by our friends at Na Nin, using essential oils, fragrance oils carried in perfumer’s alcohol and distilled water. Simple ingredients, always.
