❤️ A little piece of Aberdeen, woven into British history.

Did you know the iconic Crombie coat has its roots in Aberdeen, Scotland?

Founded in 1805 by John Crombie, the company became renowned for its fine woollen cloth and beautifully tailored overcoats.

As an Aberdeen girl who now calls Virginia home, I love discovering these little connections to the place where I grew up.

And it’s a big part of why I created FLYKUP.

For me, FLYKUP is about more than beautiful Scottish things. It’s about bringing a little piece of Scotland to Fredericksburg, sharing the stories behind the craftsmanship, and keeping those connections to home alive.

Because sometimes, the most beautiful things carry a story that travels generations and crosses oceans. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Have you ever owned a Crombie coat? Or did you know it came from Aberdeen?

A little Scottish flair meets tutu flair at Flykup - Scottish Fancy Pieces! 💛 We're grateful to have this downtown Fxbg business joining our tutu campaign and showing support for local pediatric cancer families. Founded by Aberdeen, Scotland native Louise Jolley, FLYKUP brings a little piece of Scotland to downtown Fredericksburg with authentic Scottish gifts, traditions, and hospitality.

🎗️Did you know... Some childhood cancer treatments can affect a child's reproductive organs and fertility, sometimes creating challenges that don't become apparent until years later. For children facing certain treatments, fertility preservation may need to be considered before cancer treatment even begins. It's another example of how the effects of childhood cancer can extend far beyond the time spent in treatment.

Thank you, FLYKUP, for joining our tutu campaign and helping bring more awareness to childhood cancer this September! 💛
